Which compliance services do you require?
A WEEE Compliance Scheme delivered by our team of expert WEEE specialists for all categories of electronic equipment...
To have an obligation under the WEEE Regulations you would place electrical or electronic equipment on the UK market for the first time or sell electronic equipment direct to household end users. EEE is electrical and electronic equipment.
Under the Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment (WEEE) regulations, a producer is any company that is responsible for placing electronic and electrical equipment (EEE) on the UK market. This can be done either through manufacturing, importing, re-branding, or distance selling.
Every registered WEEE producer receives a unique registration number from the Environment Agency. This is in the format WEE/AA1111AA . If you do not know what this is or do not have one please leave blank.
Your WEEE producer registration number is a number issued to you by the Environment Agency and is unique to your company. This would usually be in the format WEE/AA1111AA.
You can register as a small producer if you placed under 5 tonnes of EEE on the market in the previous compliance (calendar) year, or if this is your first year placing EEE on the market and you intend to place below 5 tonnes on the market. If registered as a small producer and you exceed the 5 tonne threshold during the year, you have 28 days to register as a full producer.
Please provide the names of all EEE items you are the obligated producer of (ie. place on the UK market for the first time).
This information is required by the Environment Agency as part of your registration. Please provide the names of any brands of EEE you place on the UK market for the first time.
Household EEE is equipment which can be used in a household environment. It is all EEE except that with specific design, specification or function which determine it is for use in a non-household environment.
Direct - this means you sell obligated EEE direct to end users (which may be a business or a household)
Indirect - this means you sell obligated EEE to a distributor or retailer
Both - means you sell directly and indirectly
In all instances this could be via a shop, catalogue or website
Please select all categories of EEE that your company places on the UK market
For assistance, please visit the link below for our guidance on the categories of EEE
In the UK a WEEE distributor is a company who sells EEE to household end users
If you are a WEEE distributor you may have a duty to take back WEEE from your customers or it maybe as a company yourself you generate WEEE which needs to be disposed of
It is a legal requirement under the regulations that EEE is marked with the crossed out wheeled bin and date mark. If your products do not have this on already this will need to be added, we can assist you if you have any queries about this.

Packaging Compliance made easy - we help you take responsibility for the impact your packaging activities may have on the environment...
The Packaging Waste Regulations effect people who handle packaging in the UK. Handling packaging means carrying out one or more of the following activities in relation to packaging - manufacture, conversion, pack-filling or selling. They effect companies with a turnover of more than £2 million who handle 50 tonnes or more of packaging per year.
If you have previously or are currently registered as a packaging producer you will have been issued with an NPWD code. If you know this please provide it, it will be in the format NPWD111111. If you do not know what this is or do not have one please leave blank.
An NPWD code is a code issued by the Environment Agency if you have been prevously registered under the packaging regulations. This code is linked to your Companies House registration number and is usually in the format NPWD111111.
Please select whether you submit data via the full or small producer method. The small producer method is an option for companies with a turnover between £2 and £5 million.
A company with a turnover between £2 and £5 million can opt to complete their packaging submission using details of their turnover and their predominant packaging material. This is an alternative to the full data method. All producers with a turnover above £5 million must complete a full data submission. This requires a company or group of companies to submit their full packaging data using the data tables. Companies with a turnover between £2 and £5 million can also opt for this full method.
Some companies arrange for PRNs (Packaging Recovery Notes) to be generated by sending their recycling to approved re-processors. With an agreement in place these can be used to offset your PRN obligation.
The Green Dot® symbol has no significance in the UK, but any companies which display this on their packaging have to ensure that they are licensed to do so. Click here for more information on the Green Dot® symbol
If possible, please provide some information on the brands this symbol appears on, a brief description of the packaging and whether this is consumer or transit packaging.
HMRC introduced the Plastic Packaging Tax in the UK on 1 April 2022, as part of the UK’s resources and waste strategy to encourage the usage of recycled material in plastic packaging in the UK. Companies who manufacture or import over 10t of finished plastic packaging components which contain less than 30% recycled plastic in a 12-month period, are liable to pay Plastic Packaging Tax. What is your business’s current position with the UK Plastic Packaging Tax?
A hassle-free solution for Battery Compliance, helping you to minimise harmful effects of waste batteries on the environment...
A company is obligated under the batteries regulations if they place batteries on the UK market for the first time or sell batteries to a household end user. The batteries may be portable, industrial or automotive and may be sold individually or built into a product.
Under the Batteries & Accumulator regulations, a producer is any company that is responsible for placing batteries and accumulators on the UK market. This can be done either through manufacturing, importing, re-branding, or distance selling.
Every registered batteries producer receives a unique registration number from the Environment Agency. This is in the format BPRN00111. If you do not know what this is or do not have one please leave blank.

There are two different types of registration as a portable batteries producer, depending if you place over or under 1 tonne of batteries on the UK market in a year.
What is a portable battery? A portable battery is one which sealed, weighs less than 4kg and has not been designed for any specific industrial or professional use or used to start a vehicle. There are two different types of portable batteries registration. A large producer intends to place over 1 tonne of portable batteries on the UK market in a year, a small producer below 1 tonne.
We need to know when you first placed batteries on the UK market so we can ensure you are correctly registered.
What is an automotive battery? An automotive battery is one intended to be used as power during automotive ignition, start or lighting. You would have an obligation if you place automotive batteries on the UK market.
This information helps ensure you are registered correctly.
What is an industrial battery? An industrial battery is one not intended to be used for power during vehicle ignition (automotive). It may be sealed or unsealed and could be a battery designed for a specific use professionally or industrially. A sealed battery not designed for a specific purpose or used during vehicle ignition would be declared as portable if it weighed less than 4kg. if it weighed more than 4kg it would be considered industrial. If you need any assistance in classifying your batteries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
This information is to help us ensure you are registered correctly.
We require this information to register you with the Environment Agency.
The crossed out wheeled bin symbol must appear on all batteries and shows that they must be separately collected and treated.
This may be because as a batteries distributor you have an obligation to take batteries back from your customers, or because your company itself generates waste batteries.
Distributors who sell more than 32 kilograms a year of portable batteries to end users must accept waste portable batteries from end users without charge. If the batteries are sold within products (eg. a laptop battery) then you would not have this obligation unless you also sold portable batteries separately above the threshold weight.
This information is required by the environment agency to confirm your obligation and ensure accurate declaration.
